3G iPhone Works Great with Exchange

Well, the new 3G iPhone has been available for a few weeks; and we've already had the pleasure of setting it up to work with Exchange. The conclusion, it works wonderfully, just as advertised. The phone wirelessly synchronizes your email, contacts, calendar and notes with your Exchange mailbox. No additional software or licenses are required to purchase. All you need is a 3G iPhone and an Exchange Server. And a data plan from your service provider. |

Microsoft announced that they will start selling a subscription based service called "Equipt." The service will include a combination of Office Home and Student, Workspaces, OneCare, and some other Windows Live applications. The service costs only $69.00 per year and can be installed on up to three PCs. Equipt customers are entitled to free software upgrades throughout the year they are subscribed. Microsoft intends to aim this towards new PC buyers to lower the cost barrier for a new version of Office. Considering you can install it on up to three computers with free upgrades; it's really not a bad deal. The service will first be available at Circuit City stores in mid-July, moving on to other outlets soon after. |

Estimate Gas Cost for Road Trips
Though this isn't necessarily a computer tip, with gas prices higher than ever it may be beneficial to know how much a road trip could cost you for gas. There is a website called DrivePricing.com which will estimate the cost of gas for road trips. You just enter your starting location, your destination, your MPG, and it produces a Google Map of your trip along with how much you'll spend on gas.

Human Powered Technologies
Cheap, renewable energy sources are the wave of the future it seems, not just for our automobiles, but for anything which requires power. Businesses across the globe are looking towards utilizing human power in an attempt to become more 'Green' friendly. A human-powered gym is set to open in Portland, Oregon this month which uses exercise equipment to power the facility as clients work out. A human-powered sustainable dance club is going to open its doors in Amsterdam in September. The dance floor itself absorbs the energy through a system of magnets. This technology is soon to be utilized in bus and train stations; anywhere there is a lot of people moving about. Similar technologies are being planned to move into our homes. Picture riding a bicycle in your living room to power your television or computer. While saving on energy bills, perhaps it may also offer more incentive to work out. Being a couch potato may soon have more disadvantages than just becoming overweight.
