Apple TV
Apple

Apple has found quite a niche in creating digital devices that incorporate our entertainment needs into our daily lives. One of their newest contraptions is dubbed "Apple TV." This device connects to your HDTV or normal TV and wirelessly synchronizes with your iTunes library. This allows you to view movies, tv shows, podcasts, images, and listen to music on your television straight from your computer. Don't worry, the device is compatible with PC's as well as Macs.

Google Petrol Pumps

Google Docs

Just when you thought Google was fresh out of ideas... Word is that new gas pumps will soon be deployed across America with some interesting features. They will have an internet connection with a screen displaying a special version of Google maps. Drivers will be able to specify destinations such as hotels, restaurants, and hospitals; then print out directions. The businesses displayed on the Google maps will be chosen by management of each gas station.

Tips of the Month

1.

Extra Data Protection Using UnDelete
It's rather difficult to say how much data is worth to a company, but most would consider it as an invaluable asset. There are always extra steps you can take to safeguard your data. A very useful tool that we have found is a software called Undelete. You could think of it as a sort of "super recycle bin" on your computer. If you accidentally delete a file from a network drive on the server that you have been working on all day (hence it was not backed up on the previous day), then your data would be gone. With undelete, you can quickly and easily recover that data. For more information you can visit their website or contact us for further information on having it installed.

News

Half of Computer Users are Wi-Fi Thieves
Apparently people without their own wireless network will not hesitate to hop on to someone else's. According to The Times, half of all computer users have illegal stolen wireless connections. If someone gets on your wireless network and does something illegal, it gets traced back to whoever's wireless network they were on. The authorities will come looking for you, the perpetrator will be gone without much of a trace. Not to mention if you have any shared data on your computer; they may be able to access that as well. So if you have a wireless router in your home or business that isn't secured, you better grab that user's manual or get someone else to secure it for you.
