Asus Eee Keyboard Computer
Asus, the company responsible for starting the netbook phenomenon with their Eee PC's, has announced an interesting new product. The Eee keyboard is a keyboard with a computer built inside. All you would have to do is hookup a monitor to start using your computer. The Eee keyboard sports an Intel Atom 1.6 GHz processor, 1GB of memory, built in WiFi, and either a 16GB or 32GB solid state drive. The keyboard itself has a 5-inch built in display/touch-screen on the right side of the keyboard. The main attraction I would imagine for this computer is for home theater systems as the device is supposedly going to support wireless HDMI for easy connection to HD televisions. The device is to be released sometime in the middle of 2009. For more information and to view a gallery of the device, just follow this link. |

UBitMenu Brings the Microsoft Office 2003 Menu Back to Office 2007
When a new version of software comes out, there can be a learning curve getting used to the new way of doing things. Internet Explorer 8 to Be Optional in Windows 7
Microsoft is has probably had more anti-trust lawsuits than I've had hot dinners. It appears as though they may be tiring of dealing with them; the most recent suits have battled with the automatic inclusion of Internet Explorer with Windows. The European Union, in conjunction with rival web browsers (such as Firefox, Opera, and Chrome) have voiced their anti-competition concerns, relating the fact that Microsoft packages their own web browser with Windows. In Windows 7, users will have the option to remove Internet Explorer, along with many other features like Windows Media Player. Any feature can be reinstalled easily without needing the installation disc. This enables Microsoft to package whatever they want with their new operating system while avoiding the usual barrage of anti-trust complaints. |
